HOT DAYS!

I know it has been extremely hot in the Valley, but it is has been hot here too and we have been trying our best to stay cool. We don't have air conditioning and to be honest the heat really hasn't bothered us until these past few days. Usually, the wind picks up in the late afternoon and if the windows get open the house cools down pretty quick. BUT the last few days there has been NO wind. :-)

We have put a small window air conditioner in our bedroom and Annika has been sleeping in her Porta Crib the past couple nights to stay cool. We also have been playing in her her baby pool to stay cool. This afternoon were going to hang out in the air conditioning at Barnes and Noble and Costco--wah hoo...big excitement in the Hedin Family!

Wow! This Neigh Neigh can go fast!

Yee Haw...ride the bucking horse...I got my free hand up high!

Day one in the pool. I still can't quite sit up without help but I am ALMOST there.

Day 2 in the pool--I LOVE this giant bath tub!

50th Wedding Anniversary

This weekend we helped Gary's parents celebrate their 50th Wedding Anniversary. WOW--50 Years! All Gary's siblings made it into town and almost all 13 grandchildren, as well as, other numerous family members. Annika was a huge hit between her cousins Sarah, Kimberly, Marissa and Courtney. I don't think Gary and I saw our little girl the whole evening. Gary spent the evening being master chef (with Marcie as his assistant!) and I watched as the girls took charge of Annika. Here are a few pictures.

6 Month Check Up

This morning Annika had her 6 Month Check Up...and she is one growing little girl. She weighed 14 lbs and 10 oz. (25th %) and was 26 1/2 in tall (75th %-good news for her basketball career!). She got her third round of shots and luckily does not have to have any more until her 1st birthday, and something tells me she will be just fine with that! We have had a busy couple weeks. Last week I worked the Deschutes Co. Fair for a friend of mine so Annika and Gary came in and hung out. The first 2 days she loved it---and the last 2 days...I think she would have rather stayed home. She was officially faired out!

Here are some pics of what we have been up to.

Don't you wish you could bend like this?

Playing at the fair...waitin on mom.

BABY NOT FOR SALE--Gary's friend has a produce store that we visit weekly. She put this sign on Annika just in case anyone wanted to pick her instead of a peach!
